DanceChance, sponsored by the Chicago Dance Maker's Forum, commissions Sapozhnikov to create a new work for the Chicago Cultural Center.
Sapozhnikov recruits collaborators Nicole Marini and Roxane d'Orléans Juste to originate movement. Elliot Reza Emadian is commissioned to create an original sound composition.
Modern and Midcentury
2024
Sapozhnikov begins touring Good House Keep through Midcentury Modern architectures in the Urbana-Champaign, IL region.
Beginning in the lobby of the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the tour juxtaposes the function and form of the architectural period with the function and form of the woman's body in the domestic space.

While developing an extended version of the work for performance at the Krannert Art Museum in Champaign, IL, Sapozhnikov and company tour the performance to Links Hall (Chicago, IL) to perform in the Dance at Illinois Alumni performance in November.

In conjunction with "Making Space for the Arts at Home"Sapozhnikov premieres an evening of original choreography and sound in collaboration with performers Alexandra Barbier, Jan Erkert, Roxane d'Orléans Juste, and Nicole Pinchott Marini, as well as video artist Laura Chiaramonte and sound artist Elliot Reza Emadian.

Replinger House

Following the success of the premiere, Sapozhnikov and collaborators were invited to document excerpts from the work in the Erlanger House, the Jack Baker lofts, and the Replinger house -- Midcentury modern staples in the Champaign-Urbana community.

2026
In 2025, Sapozhnikov was awarded an Arts Integration grant from the University of Illinois to continue developing the work and began collaborating with additional venues.
The SpaceStation Dance Residency in St. Louis, MO presented an excerpt in January 2026 at Chapel of the Arts, Hope UCC. Read the review here.
Hessel Park Church

Sapozhnikov premieres an evening of multimedia/embodied installation at the
Hessel Park Church, which was redesigned by architect Jack Baker in Champaign, IL.

Midcentury Modern Tour
Sapozhnikov was invited by the Champaign County History Museum to present a version of Good House Keep at the First Presbyterian Church as part of the 2026 MCM Architecture tour.
